How To Grow Your Business

Growing your business is quite simple. It is as simple as applying tested principles to your business. Every business started small, whether it is Microsoft, Tesla or Apple - they all started small. So the good news is, your business can grow and become so big that you employ a great number of people, influence your community and leave an heritage for your next generation.

But you see, so many entrepreneurs leave their business to fate or are so religious about it. So they fast and pray and sow seeds but neglect simple principles that can boost their business. God has dual personality - His principles and his mercies. His principles must be followed or nature's principles. You must understand systems and how they work, if you must grow.

Now, the first step towards growing your business is "divorce". Business is organic i.e it is a living organism and at the same time, it is  a person, what the learned or lawyers will call a "legal entity". To put it simply, you must separate yourself from your business and understand that your business is a separate person from you. This is where so many small businesses fails and that's why they never grow.

Strive Masiyiwa, Zimbabwe's richest man and the founder of Econet Group, the first company to bring telecommunications to Nigeria started out at 26. His success secret was his ability to separate his personal finance from that of his business by paying himself a salary and living by it. He said "my business may have money but that doesn't mean I have money". If you can respect your business from you, your business will respect you and pay you back.

This principle works like magic but in the long run. Apply it, and live your dreams. That your small business can grow so much to a level that you never expected. Always remember to grow your business, you'll need more than common sense.

VALUE POINTS:
- Every business started small
